Sometimes working on a client project we run into accessibility issues that could be fixed in the core (or contrib). Let's always try to do just that. It's sometimes even easier - and you get credit for it, maybe even your client.

I myself sometimes have a non-Drupal specialist detecting issues and developer team looking at the root cause. Then we can fix the issue for all sites at once by contributing to the core. This year my team even set a formal goal to fix a certain number of Drupal issues.

- Is it easy or hard to contribute a project fix as a generic fix?
- Does your client know they can also get credit? Or are they not interested?
- What are the most common places to spot accessibility issues in a client project?
- Making a MR and using a patch on the client site while waiting for the fix getting committed to core?
- While working on individual improvements, talking to the Accessibility Team might help understanding the issue deeper?
