BY TRAIN

Barcelona’s main train station is Sants Station, which offers several direct high-speed rail connections to various cities in France, such as Paris, Lyon, Marseille, and Perpignan, as well as to over 30 destinations throughout Spain, including Madrid, the southeast, and the south regions.

BY CAR

If you prefer driving, Barcelona is well-connected, and the motorway and road network can take you anywhere in the city. However, keep in mind traffic conditions, parking availability, and any local regulations.

Be aware of the ZBE Rondes de Barcelona zone. From Monday to Friday between 7 am to 8 pm, only motorized vehicles with the DGT environmental label will be able to drive in the area inside the city's ring roads. Vehicles without the environmental label can apply for a special permit to drive in the low-emission zones. All vehicles registered abroad must check that they meet the DGT's low-emission standards and apply to be included on the ZBE register. If they do not meet the standards, they must apply for the daily permit at least ten days in advance. For more information, visit www.zbe.barcelona.

Car Parking at Barcelona

The city offers numerous car parks, many situated in the city center. Hourly parking rates typically range between 3€ and 4€, while daily rates range from 25€ to 50€. Additionally, the city has paid street parking areas, including blue zones and the green area, where charges differ based on the specific Barcelona zone. Permitted parking durations in these areas can vary from 1 to 4 hours. Check the website to find parking spots and specific rates.
