Key Technical Decisions framework
Key Technical Decisions framework
Jorge Lopez-Lago (Kurkuma)
In depth discussion about the Key Technical Decisions framework and process that was introduced in Lille 2023.
KTD are decisions, that have profound strategic and architectural implications, for the organisation. They enable or inhibit strategic goals: evolution, growth and value creation.
KTDs are neither user stories nor architecture decision records. The former are about technical implementation details and functionality, while the latter captures technical decisions for implementation. Both are limited to the technical delivery while the KTDs encompass the impact across the company, enable growth while handling technical debt, documenting choices, and fostering team consensus.
This is a down to the ground, face to face introduction where resources and real examples will be shared. Also, other similar methodologies will be discussed and compared if brought to the conversation; just bring your ideas with you.
